OLD
In life there are actions and reactions; these are often put in motion Logically by a switch. Peta had found a switch in her endeared one ...
Sovon naturally went into what can only be described as a Pon Farr Emotional Pounce to show his deep devoted love for her in a physical form...
It hit her, more than even a wave on the shore could. Peta had pressed a button that had brought out something that had only been in her dreams and not right in front of her. She basked in what was offered and gave her own in reply, as best as she could.
NEW
[Hours later]
Sovon felt Peta, floating within his essence, the last exchange had been more Pon Farr style Carnal and any passions he had for this Out of the expectation type woman had given him another 'square' for the mental Logic Square game in his head trying to understand what hit him like a stray laser bolt from under covering.
Even during the Un-bonded Pon Farr Experiences with a fellow Vulcan had he 'purged' much of his emotion, nor shared his mental link in a manner such as this. To 'instantly' become attuned towards another is not what one would define as Logical. Yet the emotional sparking of passions with Peta were both physically and logically the correct action. The closest term that Sovon might link to his being with Peta is the First Sight Love from human terminology, there is a Bajoran version of it as well, but the Vulcan would only allow him 'Logical at the time.'
Swaying in the hammock near daybreak; his mind and logic open to enlightened redefining of event definition is new to Sovon. Just as the lovely woman, Illogical and emotionally based, Sovon had a new perspective his Logic Square would have no trouble placing the pieces in order.
Infatuation and endearment are the words of the coming day and Peta snuggled a place into his endearing favour.
Not defined as logical, just how it is as Sovon was warmed by her touch as he is her willing pillow.
Peta looked at Sovon, almost like aiming to memorise him and not be able to forget the moment.
"Hi." She said sweetly. "Did you have any plans past the next three days?" Peta was hoping for a good response.
"Some hammock time, BBQ'ing and swimming in the ocean....Why?" Sovon asked.
‘My sisters and I will be leaving at that point. I was hoping, if you were wanting to, that you could come back with us? Be able to meet my parents and the tribe.” She was rather bashful in asking, well aware this was not a well-loved topic of 'meeting the elders'.
"In human traditions is that not a significant step logically?" Sovon pondered. "Pushing forward the normal process. Is it not equivalent to bring me home to meet parents at this early stage of courting?"
"It may feel early, and yet it doesn't. It's like meeting an 'old soul'. I would be truly happy for you to come. I truly do want for you to see my home, meet my mother and adopted father. I think you might like being there. It is quite peaceful and secluded." Behind it all, she was slightly holding her breath waiting for his reply, hoping for it to be positive.
Sovon was suddenly pondering in his mind, allowing the hammock to sway and Peta to 'warm up' to him. Silence from him broken by the lapping of the waves on the shore. Staring into the sky; or someplace not on Aruba.
"There's not a word yet for old friends that just met" Sovon crooned. "Part heaven and part space or have I found my place?" He ended and continued pondering his answer.
*By All Mother's grace, please let him say Yes!* She thought to herself, running her fingers on her left hand down the feather in her hair. "That isn't exactly a yes or a no." She looked a little more nervous, almost hoping she had not offended him.
"If I read that look in your eyes, the firm grip on the cover and playing with your fearther you are what humans call nervous?" Tilting his head. "Upon acceptance of this offer will that also, logically, accept a visit to my Home on Bajor?"
"I have not seen Bajor before, I am sure your home will be beautiful. Of course I will accept." She smiled, and tried desperately to cover any remaining nerves.
"I was willing to go, just wondered if this might seem very premature." He mentioned. "Are you certain of this."
"There is something in the 'pull' we seem to have between each other. I have not felt this way for another, at all. Being this...... anxious yet eager to introduce you. I might not understand it yet somehow something about it just feels... right. it doesn't really sound like it makes much sense, does it?" Peta knew how she felt, and yet for the first time in a long time, was finding it really hard to be able to 'define' her feelings.
Rolling to pin her down. "Is this what you humans call First Sight Love then?"
Peta's eyes just about popped out. Love at first sight, not the phrase that had come to mind, yet what else could this be called when he made her heart swoon. "I am not sure it could be called anything else but that...." She was not sure if she should call him Bear or not. It was not something she had done openly so far. A whisper when he was asleep was far different to saying it to his face in a very endearing way. "I love you...... my Bear." Peta said, looking deep into his eyes before kissing him.
"Ditto, my Feather." When they came up for air. Finger combing her hair. "You are mine then."
"As you are mine." She nuzzled him as best she could though pinned.
