Location: Counselor's Offices

ON

Should Sovon have told Peta about the fact he has an appointment with one of her subordinates; it is his evaluation for duty. Besides, she might have made a suggestion, then logically she will inquire about his results. Still, he has to get the duty done and his Beloved is aware of his having to complete this evaluation.

The game of Logic squares is put on hold as he rang the chime.

As one of the assistants Mirallia knew that there would be some exemptions to the 'Peta will do all senior staff evaluations'. This was the biggest one. Peta had briefed her staff, not knowing who would get the evaluation of her husband. Mirallia had been to one to pull that 'rabbit out of the hat.' She came over to answer the chime

"Ah, Mister Sovon. I am Mirallia Santos. I have been delegated to be your 'port of call' for all counselling matters while aboard, considering the obvious 'conflict of interest' with your blushing bride." She smiled gently. "Please, do come in and make yourself comfortable."

"Thank you, Ms. Santos." Sovon greeted as he entered the office.

Mirallia had also been one to make her counselling room not look like a 'cold and clinical 'room. Hers was more like an observatory, there was what looked like shooting stars across the roof, that faded down into a night sky with deep green carpet to look like grass. there were some lounges with side tables and a bigger armchair for Mirallia.

Going to one of the lounges and took in the room.

"This is a nice office you have here, very accommodating." Sovon complemented.

"The replicator is available, if you so need, other than that, feel free to take a seat and we can get started." Mirallia went over and got herself an iced tea before settling into her chair.

"If that is the Earth type sweet Iced tea, might I try one?" Sovon asked while choosing a lounge closer to the chair for the counselor.

Mirallia went over and replicated a pitcher of the same tea with a second glass. She came over and popped on the main 'coffee table. it was a glass style one with some sparkling 'flecks' through it that seemed to shine like stars.

"Always happy to accommodate." She said rather sweetly and got settled into her armchair. "Well then, best to get started, far easier to 'rip the band aid off' quickly than... logically prolong it." Mirallia had to internalise the cringe. She needed to watch her use of that word around a Vulcan. 'Firstly, congratulations on your recent marriage to Peta. You both seem very happy and I hope your honeymoon was pleasant."

Stormcloud raised an eyebrow; had this human realized the deeper meaning in that word? It must be the human favoring to use more complex terminology to sound of a higher intelligence that most. He would leave it at that.

"As human's say 'very romantic and enjoyable." He replied. "Peta is an emotionally exuberant mate; the experience was quite 'Enlightening and physically close to the more primal Vulcan emotional intimacy and intensity."

"So, if you don't consider it to be prying too much, can you tell me about how you and Peta met? From the little I have heard, it was a rather fast romance."

"She observed me in a Tennis Match, while a Human Romantic Wolf tried to make time. I found it a good idea to warn her as she was very sexy in only a one-piece swimsuit, sarong and sandals, showing up to a tournament. Afterward she sought me out by pinning me to the wall of a corridor and expressing how her Great Spirit had drawn her to me and professed strong attraction to me like first sight love."

He shrugged after filling his glass.

"The rest would be tallied as a sensual whirlwind romance that logically rapidly became the depth of a Pon Farr Vow. We married in two ceremonies and that brings us to date."

Mirallia made some notes on a PADD, one of which included, be very specific with questions and ask for elaboration of details. Will only give as much as minimally and logically answers the question.

"I see. Two ceremonies, could you expand and elaborate on that for me? I did notice as you came in that you are wearing a Bajoran earring, and that Peta is doing the same."

"We were married under the Navajo tradition, which is how I came by this." From under his tunic he brought out the bear claw on a leather string. "Her earring has my Adopted Family crest upon it as is the tradition. Though time was short for the transfer, so we completed the, what humans call 'Honeymoon' in our quarters and are just now coming up for air; as it has been called."

"It sounds like a very busy time for you both. So, one usual standard question - tell me about yourself. In regard to this question though, it would be preferable to stick to personal and leave career for later. We will get to it. I do need to be able to understand you as well as your role and how capable you are at it."

"My role as husband?" Stormcloud pondered a second. "Is that aside from the Earth Term Mating like Rabbits?" Not letting the ball stop rolling. "I have learned to interact with Peta on an illogical but more emotional level as a Navajo squaw she is motivated by her emotions that coincides with her Romulan nature, who do not follow the suppression of emotions as Vulcans do. So I can relay that in terms you might find favourable as explanation shall we say that I love her endearingly which only grows with prolonged exposure to her heart."

Miralllia blushed deeply. "Of that, I have no doubt." She used note taking to cover for gaining back some composure. "I did see it noted that you call Bajor home. Could you tell me about what it was like for a Vulcan to be raised and live in a culture like the Bajorans have? I would have thought a Vulcan might find them to be 'contrary to logic' in being as spiritual as they are. I gather they must have had some influence, for you to be wearing an earring as they do. Does that mean you follow both Logic and the ideals of the Prophets?"

"The prophets are not as logical as one might think." Stormcloud began. "Part of logic is to seek out answers; such as the probabilities of in a given environment from a clean slate have humanoid life forms evolve naturally. The chances are not assuring from zero to a higher life form without some intervening force. Be it implanting a life form and allowing it to grow or if you have the capability use genetic influences to advance species."

Checking to see that his words are enough to get her to follow he continued. "Humans can do limited gene splicing or help with selective breeding to improve a lifeform. What is to say the advanced culture of the Prophets did not aid Bajor in a similar manner?" Posing the question. "Logic and science are not all encompassing; to explain between similar mindsets and knowledge it works but what of things not explainable be either?" He shrugged. "The object of study exists so if it cannot be understood by normal means one must admit to alternate factor for explanation. It is comfortable to use mysticism to allow limited understanding."

"I have learned that emotion can have logic to them if studied. Sarek of Vulcan was a splinter system to Logic that sought to experience emotions and then self-explanation over suppression. I am of that Logic." He hinted a sly smirk. "It is with that Bajoran upbringing that II am so in love and able to share love with my wife."

"I see, that does make sense of how you and Peta would fit together so well." Mirallia replied.

"Does that make me outside the functional Parameters of a Vulcan by your scale?" Stormcloud asked. "It was Logical at the time to accept her emotional nature and return it as a very enjoyable experience to understand."

"Not in the slightest. There may be what society calls a 'norm' or Atypical presentation of a Vulcan psyche, however that is not a one size fits all premise by any means. It is that way with any race. Humanity might have Atypical ideas for each racial subsect of the species, but that does not fit everyone. I would only look to what would be your own 'functional parameters' as a Vulcan and my patient rather than comparing them to the greater whole. As our experiences are a part of defining us. Being raised on Bajor as opposed to Vulcan would have defined you differently to any other Vulcan individual." Mirallia had a soft smile, there was an understanding being gained between them.

"What led you to the path of Security? Was there a certain appeal to it or more that you felt better suited to it?" She braced on this question, none of his answers had been truly 'standard', why would this one be any different.

"Being Vulcan in an Emotionally Temperament of typical children to harass those who are different it was discovered that I had a Logical talent for putting these incidents to rest with the use of logical application of a force that ended the arguments quickly."

Stormcloud said calmly.

"Though they did give me the moniker of the Volcano Vulcan but I found that the application of Logical counter force did much to keep my childhood more calm rather than tragic. And thus understanding that humanoid tend to be violent in nature I seek to counter than in a means to bring peace to interactions.

"Volcano Vulcan.." Mirallia said quietly as she made some notes. "That sounds like a... logical embracing of a worthwhile skill set. Do you foresee any difficulties within your department?"

"I have not found the need to knock any heads together as yet." Stormcloud answered. "Of course I am the new chief and people will behave and gauge my Managing of the department. Two weeks should be enough time to get a handle upon their abilities as well as the having to play escorts in the midst of a Civil War will mean action and action shows character so I am taking it more on a sort of Faith that they know their jobs and can do them?"

"That is a very good approach. I do think the current climate will somewhat dictate how things go. I would hope that you don't get too many speedbumps. So, do you have any career aspirations? Not many seem to see past the idea of being a section chief." Mirallia asked, seeming to find a slight groove in the evaluation.

"The Command chain is logically a possibility, is that not where one of ambition would aspire?" Stormcloud began. "I seek to best serve Star Fleet and if they raise me up I will accept, I do my best ability and have been rewarded accordingly so my upward mobility seem a steady path."

'"That is where logic can be handy, sometimes. To have an eye on where you are headed, even if further away does allow you to try and plan for some eventualities and possibly dodge some things that you didn't see coming quite as much. Do you have any troubles that you wish to share? Anything that you think a counsellor should know, whether you think it relevant or not?"

"Nothing logically comes to mind." Sovon replied.

"Truly. There is nothing that comes to mind, no problems that are not making logical sense. That is rather interesting." Mirallia was pondering that response over.

"Romulan females are associated with logic; thus, their emotional reactions are influenced ever so slightly by that logic and able to have some prediction." Sovon shrugged. "Therefore, I am able to exist within those parameters."

"Duly noted." Mirallia had to hold in the urge to do a facepalm. *Note to self, make sure to set aside time to debrief and handle a possible headache after a session with Sovon. He is highly logical and kind of intense with it.* "So, was there anything else that you wished to discuss? I think I will have enough to be able to complete the evaluation at this point."

"Logically Isoprophin has been used by counselor after previous sessions." Sovon rose. "Thank you for your time and consideration Counselor." He moved to exit.

"Of course, make a time to see me whenever you need. " She said in reply. "Live long and prosper."

Hesitating at the door Sovon turned and gave the same hand sign. "Peace and long life." He said to her then departed.

Mirallia rose and bowed, seeing him exit before the drawn-out sigh. "Wow, i need a STRONG cup of coffee after that one.. and the painkillers are not a bad idea either! Nice guy, I can see what Peta might find appealing, just that whole logic thing can be like banging your head against a wall!"
