Personal History | Dr Jeksenri Vale is a 24th century Historian and Lecturer. He was born in New Berlin on Luna, growing up the son of Two Historians and Galactic Librarians for the Starfleet Galactic Memory Bank. From an early age, he took a keen interest in History, spending most of his childhood among the stacks and archives of the Starfleet Galactic Memory Bank at Memory Alpha. His love of books and history came from this formative period of his life. A solitary child by any other name, Jeksenri was more comfortable with books, papers and the wonders of the past than he was in the present. His parents left him alone most of the time, focused on their own work or concerned with his brother, Jeksyne who (by his parent’s accounts) believed was a troublemaker. He was accepted into Starfleet Academy in 2372, and studied Starfleet History for his Doctorate completing it with the publication of his dissertation on Starfleet’s Lost Era spanning from 2294-2363. On Graduation he served a year aboard the USS Independence to gain his space service qualifications, but continues to maintain a preference for ground based and academic assignments, including a tour on his homeworld with the Starfleet Galactic Memory Bank of Memory Alpha as an Archivist and Researcher. His time in service has mostly been spent as a Lecturer and Historian at Starfleet Academy where he has published two major works of historical reference under the Tranquility Press of New Berlin and several papers on historical analysis of Starfleet Captains such as Chris Pike, John Harriman, J.T Carlson of the Excalibur 1664 (Constitution Class) and Important Pre-Starfleet Figures such as Major General Josiah McEntyre of the MACO, T’shir of Vulcan, George Casey, Supreme Commander of the MACO and Dr. Gunnar Magnusson of Iceland whose early shield designs continue to be the basis of modern fleet shield technologies. His most notable works include: "In the Raptor’s Claw: The Earth-Romulan War of 2156-2160", "The Great Unknown: Starfleet’s Lost Era of 2293-2363", which served as his Doctoral Dissertation, and "Hit It: The Rise and Tragic Fall of Christopher Pike" He continues to publish and research when not lecturing at the Academy or serving on Scientific expeditions aboard ships of the fleet. His current status is awaiting space assignment for a year long recertification of space duties. |
